Elections 2024 dates for 679 assembly seats in five states have been announced today (Monday). The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the election through a press conference at 12 noon on 9 October. Assembly elections have been proposed in five states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Rajasthan.
The countdown to the voting war has started with the election conch sound in the press conference of the Election Commission (EC). Let us tell you that elections will be held on 230 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh, 200 in Rajasthan, 119 in Telangana, 90 in Chhattisgarh and 40 in Mizoram.
When will votes be cast in which state?
• Voting will be held in Chhattisgarh on 07 and 17 November.
• Voting will be held in Mizoram on 07 November.
• Voting is scheduled in Telangana on November 30.
• Voting is scheduled in Rajasthan on November 23.
• Elections will be held in Madhya Pradesh in one phase on 17th November.

Elections 2024: 1.7 lakh polling booths in 5 states
CEC Rajeev Kumar said, the voter list will be released from October 17. People will be allowed to get corrected details in the voter list from October 17 to November 30. Corrections can be done through booth level officers or visit the elections commission’s official website. A total of 1.77 lakh polling booths will be set up in these 5 states. The polling booth will remain within the radius of 2 kilometers.
– Parties will have to furnish information about donations by October 31. Only then will you get exemption in income tax.
– Elderly people will get the facility to vote from home due to their inability to walk to polling booths.
– A total of 940 checkposts will be set up in 5 states and will be handled by the state police and various security agencies.
